We run, but we just can't hide

Take a moment and watch...

Watch people, as mice in a maze, as we scurry about in life....

Anger, intolerance, frustration. These are the over riding sentiments and moods of a stroll through the public life today. Take a drive, but be prepared, because "they" will be in your face. "They" will be inches from your rear bumper, "they" will use their elbows while waiting in that line at the 7-11, "they" are ready to flip a finger, shout a F*** you, grimace and beep.

I takes my chances, roll the dice, pull out onto the road. I enter the store, dodge the forceful walkers, take my place in the checkout lines. It's more often than not, a veritable crap shoot.

Ladies? Gentlemen? Where? =(

We're told its video game violence, sex on t.v., lack of school prayer. LMAO

What about the fact that all of us, even those that fight hard to shield themselves from the minute to minute onslaught of negative "News", remain, bombarded. Bombarded with lies. We bathe in a cesspool of lies. It's incessant. It's intrusive. It's just plain ugly.

Ignorance is strength
War is Peace
( Orwell )

Sadly, these concepts are being subliminally beaten into each and every one of us. I believe that it is actually now impossible to avoid the lies, if you have to have any interaction with the world at all.

Well, all this surpressed guilt and shame has consequences.

We run, but we just can't hide.

We can wave the flags all we want, plaster the yellow ribbons, cover the entirety of our lives in freaking ribbons, spend money we don't have, tithe 10% to the man in the Rolex, and keep telling ourselves, we are the righteous.

But damn it, it seems our collective subconscious just ain't buying it.
